Gabriel Martinelli is set to sign a new lucrative contract with Arsenal

Arsenal are close to finalising a new long-term contract with Gabriel Martinelli, according to various sources.

The Daily Mail and 90min.com reporting that Arsenal and star forward are close to agreeing a new deal. According to SPORT, Martinelli feels comfortable in Arteta’s project and would like to sign a contract extension until 2027.

The 21-year-old has been in talks over a new deal since September along with Bukayo Saka and William Saliba. This new deal will see him extend his stay to 2027. Martinelli’s current deal runs to 2024. Martinelli’s wages would rise by 130k to 200k, making him one of the highest paid players in the squad.

The Brazilian forward signed for Arsenal in 2019. He has often spoken about how much he loves the club and wants to remain at Arsenal for the rest of his life. He also said one day he hopes to become the club captain.
