The transfer window is now closed and the players remaining at Arsenal with one year left on their contracts are likely to leave for nothing next summer if the club can’t find a buyer in January, so who is on their way out?
Arsenal currently have five players out of contract next summer and they actively tried to get rid of at least three of them this summer.
Sead Kolasinac, as we know, is still at the club but won’t be for much longer, even if nobody else wants to stump up some cash for him. Turkish sides wanted him during the summer but his wages proved to be too rich for them and, as a result, he was still at the club when Mikel Arteta was picking his team against Manchester City.

Mohamed Elneny is another with just one year left on his contract and it seems as if his time could finally be up at the club too. That being said, we’ve thought that many times before.
Another who could have left for Turkey, Elneny did manage to find an agreement with Galatasaray but Arsenal turned down Gala’s offer which most likely consisted of three jellybeans, paid over five years.

Eddie Nketiah could have been lining up for Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace this season after Arsenal agreed a deal to sell him but the 22-year-old couldn’t find an agreement over wages and will now spend the season doing not very much at all.
Nketiah started four Premier League games for Arsenal last season and never played the full 90 minutes. In fact, he did that just twice all season – the FA Cup defeat at Southampton and the EFL Cup win over Leicester.

Calum Chambers is also out of contract next summer and the fact Arsenal have not offered him a new deal, nor has there been any talk about one, tells us that he will be on his way.
Arsenal took a bit of a gamble when they stumped up £18.2m to sign Chambers from Southampton when he was just 19 and had made just 25 appearances for them. Chambers has gone on to play 120 times for Arsenal during the seven years he has been at the club but his best season probably came when he was on loan with Fulham.

Finally, Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal’s fourth most expensive player in the club’s history, is set to leave for free in the summer with Arsenal not even bothering to pretend they want to offer him a new deal.
To be fair, Lacazette has been linked with an Arsenal exit since he arrived from Lyon in 2017.
