Arsenal have confirmed that Steve Bould has officially left the club after 33 years of service.
Bould played over 350 games for the Gunners between 1988 and 1999 before moving into a coaching role.
The former centre-back worked as an assistant under Arsène Wenger for six years and has been in charge of Arsenal’s under-23s since 2019.
But after three decades in north London, Bould has waved goodbye to the club.
Announcing the decision, academy manager Per Mertesacker said: “Steve has been a fantastic servant for us on and off the pitch. His record as a player speaks for itself and he has been an inspiration to generations of young players coming through the academy.Reports: Arsenal set to land double dealVolume 90%
“This has been a very hard decision to make. Steve’s contribution to the under-23s and the club as a whole has been huge and he will always be an important figure in our history.”
