UEFA offered English teams ‘a large sum of money’ to leave Super League

All six English sides have withdrawn from the competition. Spanish sides, however, are choosing to carry forward as they’ve not released any statements.

As reported by Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, the UEFA offered all six English teams ‘a large sum of money’ to leave the Super League.

However, the same offer was not made to the Spanish clubs, who they view as ‘enemies’ of the association.

As of now, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea have withdrawn from the competition.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Real Madrid remain in favour of the Super League while Atletico Madrid are unsure.
