The German keeper did not have a difficult night and did not put a foot wrong.
Callum Chambers – 7.4
Chambers is proving to be a very consistent performer in the right back position with another good all-round display.
Rob Holding – 7.2
Solid and commanding center back display from the Englishman.
Pablo Mari – 7.6
Lots of fans were calling for Mari to start and he delivered on their expectations with a solid performance. While the attack stole the headlines, Mari ensured that Arsenal had nothing to worry about on the other end with some timely interceptions and an excellent clearance in the first half.
Granit Xhaka – 7.0
Xhaka was solid again, taking good care of the left had side of the park. When he doesn’t lose his head, his quality is there for all to see. His leadership also kept Arsenal on the front foot throughout the game and was instrumental to securing this crucial win for the Gunners.
Thomas Partey – 7.4
Mr Octopus was at work again. Very tidy and great at breaking opposition attacks.
Dani Ceballos – 7.1
Always busy and involved, covered a lot of ground during the game. He is getting better.
Emile Smith Rowe – 8.4
The young midfielder continues to go from strength to strength for Arsenal. Had a goal ruled out by VAR for a fingernail offside call but picked himself up immediately to nutmeg 2 players and provide an assist in the very next move. Was central to most of Arsenal’s top play, should have had a goal.
Bukayo Saka – 9.2
Given the freedom of the right side of the pitch, the youngster absolutely told Slavia to shreds. Saka was involved in most of Arsenal’s brilliant moves and got himself a sublime goal with a finish from outside the box. Also won the penalty for Lacazette’s first with some neat play.
Nicolas Pepe – 8.7
Pepe was another player that was silky throughout the night. Opened the scoring for Arsenal with an extremely well-taken finish on his left. Beat his man a number of times and linked up brilliantly with the rest of the attack.
Alexandre Lacazette – 8.5
Laca followed up his brace against Sheffield United with another brace against Slavia Prague away from home. The striker constantly made things happen and his penalty was an example in composure. Also sent two defenders the wrong way to get his second with a precise finish.
