Arsenal are optimistic that Bukayo Saka has only suffered a dead leg and hope he’ll be available for Slavia Prague on Thursday, along with Gabriel Martinelli.
The Daily Mail report that Arsenal believe Bukayo Saka has avoided serious injury and are confident he just suffered a dead leg against Sheffield United. On Monday, they were still considering him a doubt for Slavia Prague, but he should return to action this week.
The Mail also report that Gabriel Martinelli is fit, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to return after illness.
Obviously, it would be a boost to have all three of them available for the Europa League quarter-final second leg. Arsenal’s primary concern on Thursday will be scoring goals, knowing they need at least one away goal to stay in the competition.
Martinelli, Aubameyang, and Saka are three of Mikel Arteta’s key threats in front of goal. Martinelli did only score his first of the season at the weekend, but it was also just the first time he’s played more than 75 minutes in a match this campaign.
The 19-year-old scored 10 goals in his debut campaign for Arsenal, and he’ll hope to add more in the coming weeks.
