Bernd Leno – 6.5
He was not at fault for the goal and looked assured for much of the game.
Hector Bellerin – 5
Not surprisingly the right back had a difficult time containing Sterling, but he should have done better when joining the attack.
Rob Holding – 5.5
He should have done better to stop City’s goal but dealt with the attacks well after that mistake.
Pablo Mari – 6.5
He had a solid game and communicated well.
Kieran Tierney – 5
It was evident that he wasn’t fully match fit and had a torrid time dealing with Riyad Mahrez.
Mohamed Elneny – 4.5
He has an incredible engine but all he does is make a simple pass and runs nowhere useful.
Granit Xhaka – 6
Good with possession as usual, but needs to make more penetrating balls.
Martin Odegaard – 5
He didn’t have the best of matches, his passing was off range and his first touch let him down on the day
Nicolas Pepe – 5
He did not make any impact on the game but he was starved of good service
Bukayo Saka – 7
He was the only Arsenal player who troubled City’s defence but it wasn’t enough to change the course of the game.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 4.5
The Arsenal captain had a game to forget.
