Arsenal and Man City name their starting XIs for Emirates clash

Arsenal and Manchester City have named their starting XIs for Sunday’s Premier League clash.

City are on a remarkable winning run right now, getting three points in 10-straight games and going 24 unbeaten.

They travel to north London this afternoon, taking on Pep Guardiola’s protege Mikel Arteta.

The current league leaders welcome back Kevin de Bruyne after injury, meaning that Phil Foden drops to the bench.

Aymeric Laporte is also left out of the side in favour of Aleksandr Zinchenko.

Fernandinho captains the team from midfield with Rodri left out.

Arsenal meanwhile welcome back Kieran Tierney as Rob Holding also return at centre back. Nicolas Pepe also deserves his start, in what looks like the manager showing priority to the Europa League.

Arteta will be hoping to mastermind his second victory over his former boss, after his side’s 2-0 victory in the FA Cup semi-final last season, but he is yet to overcome Pep in the Premier League in his two attempts thus far, although this will be his first attempt at the Emirates.
