Martin Odegaard says it has been ‘easy’ to fit into the Arsenal side after the midfielder made an impressive first start for the club in the Gunners’ 4-2 win over Leeds.
Odegaard signed for the north London side on loan from Real Madrid last month and made his first starting appearance during the win over Leeds on Sunday, linking well with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka as Arsenal returned to winning ways at the Emirates.Gabriel and Pépé score incredible goals in training ahead of LeedsVolume 90%
The Norway international started in an advanced midfield role for the Gunners and the fluid movement of the club’s attacking options offered encouragement, ahead of an important run of fixtures that includes clashes with Benfica and Manchester City this week.
Odegaard has now opened up on his adaptation to the Premier League and admits he already feels comfortable amongst his new teammates at the Emirates, telling Arsenal.com that it has been ‘easy’ to settle in north London.
“It’s a bit different but I think I am adapting pretty okay,” he said.
“The way they took me into the team – my teammates – and how they treated me, as well as the manager and everyone in the club, they helped me since the first minute.
“I feel really comfortable and a part of the team, so it’s been easy to come into this team because of the way they are and the way they treated me. I’m just really happy to be here and I’m proud to be a part of this team.”
