Arsenal 2 – 0 Bournemouth

After an awful team and referee performances on Boxing Day, which I declined writing a ratings blog, it was back to business as usual with Mesut Ozil pulling all the strings in a convincing 2 -0 victory against the on form Bournemouth side. Please follow and like us:

Arsenal 2 – 1 Manchester City

Alexis Sánchez, Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Danny Welbeck, Tomáš Rosický, all very important players and all out injured and we still managed to beat the team who are the other main contenders for the Premier League title – no disrespect to Leicester FC. Now we’ve got to believe that we can win the league this season for the first time since the Invincibles took the League by storm 11 years ago. The players have become very resolute and obviously the team spirit is great… and we’ve got Mesut Ozil! 15 assists before Christmas tells its own […]

Is Olivier Giroud capable of firing Arsenal to the title this season?

by Ronnie Macdonald  After 16 matches, Arsenal are second in the Premier League and sit just two points behind surprise leaders Leicester City. After a slow start to the campaign, Arsene Wenger’s men have picked up the pace and are looking in good nick ahead of the tricky festive period. On Monday night, the Gunners will host Manchester City and victory will considerably enhance their title prospects. Anything less and questions will once again be asked of Wenger and his team. How can Barcelona be beaten?

It seemed inevitable that Arsenal were going to pull out Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League once again when the draw was made in Monaco. The upcoming meeting will be the third time the two sides have met in a Champions League tie in the last six years, with both of the previous encounters being won by the Spanish giants.  Barcelona have been priced up at the time of writing at 1/5 to qualify for the quarter-finals in the UEFA competitions betting. They are flying high in La Liga as they are level on points with Atletico […]

Aston Villa 0 – 2 Arsenal

Although I was disappointed with the second half performance I was very happy with the 3 points gained from an away game after mental and physical draining champions league game on Wednesday. When the team’s performance dropped considerably in the second half, Ramsey and Giroud stood up to the task. Ramsey’s all action and Giroud’s all-round performance was really good. The Frenchman’s hold up play and defending from front when we most needed was brilliant. I am little concerned with Bellerin’s dip of form in recent weeks but probably it is expected from a player so young for this level. […]

Arsenal 3 -1 Sunderland

We got the much needed win today but it wasn’t easy. As expected Sunderland were put out to frustrate us. We weren’t at our best as a team but brilliant Mesut Ozil was, the defence splitting through ball he played was just World class, perfectly timed and weighted. I am so happy to see him making his critics eating a humble pie this season. His overall play was excellent again, long may it continue. Please follow and like us:
